An unmanipulated photograph of the muddy banks of Cockajemmy Salt Lake in Victoria. When Aboriginal football legend Nicky Winmar saw this piece for the first time he claimed “That’s an aboriginal face.” Coincidentally it was taken the day renowned Australian actor David Gulpilil passed away. It seems the Aboriginal people of Australia are not just the custodians of the land, they are part of the landscape.
